These days, technology and surgeon innovation has advanced the field and now the procedure is done small incisions and scopes with tiny cameras. All incisions are well-concealed in the scalp and positioned to not only raise the brow but also create a natural and youthful arch. Strong sutures are used to support the brow at a higher position for a long-lasting result.
What is a trichial browlift?
The endoscopic brow and forehead lift can raise the hairline a small amount, which most patients can tolerate. However, for those who already have tall foreheads this can be a problem. A solution to this is called a trichial brow and forehead lift. This technique not only lifts the brow but also shortens a tall forehead.
What can I expect during and after surgery?
By itself, a brow and forehead lift is an outpatient procedure. All sutures are removed by the second week after surgery. It takes about four to six weeks for most of the swelling to subside.
