Brow Lift
Do you ever feel that although you may feel young and vibrant, your eyes send a different message? Maybe people have commented that you have a tired or severe look? Perhaps you've noticed that your brows have gotten lower and lower as you've gotten older and older? You could be a good candidate for a brow and forehead lift.

Does the brow drop over time?
In some people, the answer is yes. In the upper face, this can manifest as low brows, droopy upper eyelid skin, and prominent forehead wrinkles.

Who might benefit from a brow and forehead lift procedure?
Patients who have noticed a fall in their brow height over time are the best candidates. This may be accompanied by droopy upper eyelid skin, which makes the upper lids less visible (this may be especially pronounced after applying eye shadow). Candidates for this procedure may also have wrinkles between the brows and on the forehead.

What is the goal of a brow and forehead lift procedure?
The procedure restores the brow height to the position you had in your youth, which has the added benefit of pulling the upper eyelid skin tight. However, some individuals will get the best result from combining a brow and forehead lift with an upper eyelid skin excision (or blepharoplasty). The forehead lift also helps to reduce deep lines in the forehead and between the brows.

How is the endoscopic brow and forehead lift performed?
In the past, a brow and forehead lift was commonly performed with a long incision that extended from ear to ear across the scalp. These days, technology and surgeon innovation has advanced the field and now the procedure is done small incisions and scopes with tiny cameras. All incisions are well-concealed in the scalp and positioned to not only raise the brow but also create a natural and youthful arch. Strong sutures are used to support the brow at a higher position for a long-lasting result.

What is a trichial browlift?
The endoscopic brow and forehead lift can raise the hairline a small amount, which most patients can tolerate. However, for those who already have tall foreheads this can be a problem. A solution to this is called a trichial brow and forehead lift. This technique not only lifts the brow but also shortens a tall forehead.

What can I expect during and after surgery?
By itself, a brow and forehead lift is an outpatient procedure. All sutures are removed by the second week after surgery. It takes about four to six weeks for most of the swelling to subside.
